Beauty
I live in a strikingly beautiful place. There isn't a day that I'm not aware of that, that something doesn't make me pause, look around, awestruck at a scene before me. I can't count the times I've driven back from Victor Bay and the view from the top of the hill down Adam's Sound takes

If you were expecting more iceberg pictures, you’d be sadly
right. After not driving to Victor Bay for a day, we went there this evening, and were startled to see that the huge iceberg that had been sitting out at Nuvua was now a mere 200 metres or so offshore in Victor Bay. An amazing sight, in amazing light, and I left the camera at

Night’s fall
We were driving back from Victor Bay last night, and it suddenly occurred to me that night has returned to us. Leah's parents had gone to spend the weekend in Victor Bay, and in the half light we could see the lights of the tent as we drove down. We spent only a little while

Moon’s aglow
I haven't gotten to see the moon much for the past 3 or 4 months. Something about that 24 hour light that detracts from moon gazing. But, boy, when the sky starts to darken around here the scene more than makes up for it. Here are a couple of images of moonrise last night.

More Monday Miscellany (Now with even more alliteration)
Here, are some more shots from the last little while. Some had been meant to have posts of their own but too much time has passed. Once again, the iceberg theme is dominant. First of all, here is a rather stripy photo of a late evening fall sky. More photos below the fold…
