The last couple of days it has felt like I was living in the Arctic.

Which, you know, isn't that unusual, being as that is where I live. We are now only a couple of days away from the sun setting for the winter, and are quickly losing light. Driving to work the past two days (at 9 am, well okay a little after 9) its been dark, and add to that the fact that its been storming, well. It feels damn arcticky. Arctic-like?

Its been fairly warm, but that is normal when we have a lot of wind. On the days we have wind storms the temperature usually climbs. But snow and 15 to 20 knot winds in the dark makes it feel very much like the Arctic.

For the most part cold weather is tolerable.  At least up here, where most of our winter is cold, but calm. Its just that damnable wind that drives that cold deep.  So I'm actually looking forward to winter really locking in up here. Give me those crisp cold days of mid-winter. The ones with very little wind and stars so bright they feel like you are going to brush against them.
