I don’t get championship search strings, not like bootstrap analysis, but I am amazed at what brings people to my site from searches through Google and other search engines. About the most unusual I can muster up is crack cocaine Iqaluit Post Office. But there are several searches that I get on a fairly regular basis.
One of them, House of Tomorrow Gary Crew, invariably finds me because of Gary, and Crew Stories, and, of course, the House of today. These inevitably come from Australia, and because I recently started checking out what other sites got hits with the string, I’ve discovered that Gary Crew is a popular writer down under for youth and adults. Even more interestingly, following those links I discovered an amazing story of shipwreck and murder that I can not believe I haven’t heard of before (I also can’t believe Hollywood hasn’t made it into a film yet). The story of the Batavia, which wrecked in 1629, is simply riveting and horrifying, but I digress.
There are people looking for how to information ie mudding drywall (good luck!) and people looking for Pete’s Pond which are easy enough to figure out. But what is with the searches for Purple Saxifrage? I get several hits a day (by far more than everything else put together) for Purple Saxifrage. They come from all over, Canada, the US, Britain, India and Germany. Everyday. It’s a beautiful flower, and I welcome the readers but boy there must be a lot of interest out there for it. Has it been featured on a new TV series or something? I’d Google it, but it would no doubt just lead me back here to me.
