It is a bit of curiosity this world wide web thing. Every once in awhile something surprises you and another blog gets added to the side bar. After feeling guilty about blogs that link to mine that I haven’t reciprocated I added a new blogroll of blogs that link to mine, and consequently I’ve been paying more attention to hits I get from other peoples blogs.
Just a little while ago I found a new blog linking to me. Prairie Ice, is the blog of John Carlson a Montanian (Montanite? Montanazoid? What do you call someone from Montana anyway?) who spends at least part of his year travelling to Antarctica and South America. It was a joy to read again about places I’ve been like Torres Del Paine and birds that I havent’ seen in a long long time, such as Long-tailed Meadowlark. Nice to see other people heading off to the Ushuaia Dump to look for White-throated Caracara. Look for it on my sidebar.

Thanks for sharing links to those new blogs. There are some quality sights among them and you provided me with an evening of fun exploration just by sharing. I have found just launching off into cyberspace in search of a new, good read can be a bit touch and go. It is often best to launch off from the sidebar of a site one enjoys reading to find other sites that might provide interest. In fact, for this reason, I have thought of adding an “other sites I visit”, or a “blogs I also read”, or something to that effect, section to my sidebar to house all the other, none northern blogs I visit. Now, if I do, there will be a few addtional good sites. Thanks to you.
