I’ve added a new list to my sidebar on the right. Inspired by Townie Bastard, One of the features of his posts (which he recently revived) was his last five songs which he lists in each post. I hope to update it when I add a new post, although if they (the post) come in quick succession I may not.
I’m not sure what it will say about my personal tastes, but it does reveal once again that I don’t have an original thought in my head. It may also turn decidedly retro if I carry through with my plan to convert my vinyl to digital and put that old collection on my iTunes.

Rawlins Cross, eh? I might be the only New Zealander ever to have heard of them, let alone actually listened to them. Now I’ve gone and put the CD on (Living River). Crikey, maybe it’ll be U2 next.
Wow. I’m impressed Pete. I’m pretty sure that better than 50% of Canadians have never heard of them, and their from here. How did you come upon them?
“my” vinyl? – perhaps you meant my and my sister’s vinyl?
You and your sister must be ancient with that vinyl talk huh.
I was just listening to Lucinda Williams too. I’ve been humming “Greenville” all day!
No sis, I’meant my vinyl. I mean I think there is a couple of Bee Gees in there that might be yours, but really do I want them on my iPod?
I know bro, but don’t despair I’m sure there’s a way to transfer your 8-tracks onto the computer.
She is pretty talented artist Rurality.
Yes, you might have “ripped off” the idea (like I didn’t take it from someone else), but you improved on it. I like it in the sidebar like that, complete with album covers. That’s a nice touch. I should try and figure out how I can do that on Blogger.
Oh, and eventually embarassing stuff will show up, but hey, I’ve learned to accept my love of Hall & Oates music, I’m sure you can cope with whatever horrors that are about to be unveiled.
Hall and Oates? I won’t have anything THAT embarrassing Craig. Kidding of course. Typepad makes it easy to have a list like that. One of their categories of “Typelists” includes a music list. Put in the album name and artist and voila, the album artwork appears. Not sure if blogger has something similar or not.
Clare, a friend who’d spent time in Canada introduced me to Rawlins Cross.
BTW, I did indeed listen to U2 after RC. AND — I see you have currently have Aqualung listed, and as a favourite. Now I’m going to have to dredge that out and have a listen.
