Buoyed by the success of my Narwhal Podcast, okay, buoyed by my discovery that a podcast is just a published media file, and my discovery about how to post some film, I’ve decided to add another movie from a warmer, sunnier time… early July.
Here is a short clip of an Ivory Gull
that hung out near our komatiq on Admiralty Inlet. They are amazingly tame birds, curious and quite willing to come quite near to people out on the land. It is truly unfortunate that there are so few of them, and that their populations are rapidly shrinking.

That’s so fantastic. Love those black feet and the black bill. Is that from a video camera, or a digital with some video capabilities? It looks great.
