I was at work this morning (yes I have found a job in case you weren't aware), and had just made coffee (why yes, it is part of my job description) when the phone ring. It was Travis announcing that Bolt was tangled once again, and so I took my coffee break on the road and drove home.
When I got there Bolt was in his her house, which isn't typical for when she's tangled up. As I got there I heard a soft squealing and there, on the ground, was a brand spanking new puppy. I quickly picked it up and took it to Bolt, let her sniff it, and then placed it in the house with her. A quick check revealed that was the only one, and I told Travis, who ran to tell his mom. I went back to work.
About an hour later Leah called. There was a raven trying to get one of the puppies, so I returned home once again. A friend had seen the raven peck at the puppy (it was still hanging around), chased it away, and put the puppy in with Bolt.
When I got home from lunch there was a third puppy, and by this time Bolt was no longer leaving the house to have them and all four were safely ensconced in the warm dog house. By the time I headed back to work an hour later, a fourth puppy had just arrived, and was being given a tongue bath by his mom. Matters all taken care of, I went back to work, checking again when afternoon coffee rolled around.
All in all there are five pups, all black, with a smattering of white markings. One has white "stockings" and tail tip. Bolt seems to have handled it all pretty well, considering she is pretty much a pup still herself.
No photos, it was difficult with them in house and nestled into Bolt's belly. Leah took a short video however. Cuteness level set on stun.

Holy! From finding out you were going to be puppy grandfather to being puppy grandfather in less than a week. How are you handling it? hehehe
Cute video Leah, thanks!
Wonderful video. Looking forward to seeing more of the happy, furry family.
Man, that’s cute.
Thanks Tina, Robin and Megan. I’m handling it well Tina. Bolt seems to be a good mother, and I wasn’t sure how that would turn out, given that she’s still a big pup herself.
Won’t be long before you have a nice little dog team!
It will be my sakik’s (father-in-law’s) team Michael. He’s taking the pups for the nucleus of a team.
Hi Clare… Your video disappeared before I had a chance to see it! I was looking forward to seeing your new additions. Can you put it back up for me – if it’s not a problem? Thanks, Little Sister 🙂
Little Sister. Not sure what went wrong, but it is still imbedded there, and you should be able to see it.
