What an incredible location! Is this really a B&B at the top of the world? How do I get there and when is the best time to visit (other than in the middle of summer for warmer weather)? (rshields -at ualberta.ca)

Sheesh. I agree, Clare. It may be rather off the wall as sex is concerned, but is it a crime? Seems quite bizarre that the fellow would be charged with anything. He was in his own room. It was his own bicycle. Doesn’t sound like he was bothering anyone and wouldn’t have been discovered if not for the cleaners who entered his room. Doesn’t really seem like it qualifies as criminal activity.

We’re thinking along the same lines Jen. What of all the people who are (ahem) “attracted” to shoes, or nylon or whatever. But I’m not so sure he even deserves all of the embarrassment that he no doubt is getting. In a world full of people, to need to be intimate with a bicycle cries out for sympathy not ridicule.

Let’s push the ridicule of this situation to its limits : Was the bike under legal age ? Was it a consensual act ? Pro-bikes and Pro-choice will lobby for and against this man in front of the court house! The bike is asking for witness protection program!
Someone somewhere lacks serious common sense to have such a minor incident go thru the legal system. Oh well, tax money at work…
