The fuel ship arrived this evening, topping off the tanks with another years worth of Gasoline and Heating Fuel (Diesel). Can’t wait to fill up on Monday… gas that actually still has octane in it. Woo hoo!

So, how much is it this year? It’s just gone down a little here.
Here’s some out of date figures on fuel here in Australia, we’re currently paying over 1.40 per litre, and it’s tipped to be around 2.00 by Christmas.
Look at the Federal Government take, including tax on a tax. It’s getting harder and harder to go on birding trips.

I’m not sure what the price will be this year. Guess I’ll find out soon. We had a bit of a price hike in July, well not a hike per se but one of the taxes (GST) dropped from 7% to 6% and they kept the price at the pump the same.
