Hi Dave,
A nice bird no matter where it is. Up until last year I’d just assume that any banded plover was a Ringed Plover, because I didn’t look any deeper than what the Range Maps told me. I now know that many Semipalmated Plovers nest here, in fact I see more of them than Ringed. It makes ID very challenging.

Now this is bird that many of us “down south” would be able to show as a “lifer”.
