… where I live, I have no hair to perm and they don't make Hummers any more; I give you my new tattoo.
The elements are the Crest of the Force; the crest of my Grandfather's regiment (the 16th Canadian Scottish); and the inscription from my namesake's grave in France.

Clare, that’s amazing. I recognized the bison immediately. 🙂
Also: HUGE! Holy cow, you did that all in one sitting? (What DID you do with the kids??)
That is a really, really nice tattoo. I like that you incorporated images that have deep meaning to you, and that it all goes together so flawlessly.
WHOA.
Whoa! Nice and impressive – I can see why this has a special meaning to you.
I’v been contemplating a tiny, tiny butterfly on my ankle but I’m afraid it’s going to hurt.
I’ve already said it but I love it. Great choice of elements. Have you caught the fever? Already thinking of the next one?
Wow! That is impressive!
Thanks all. It was done all in one sitting Fawn, about 4 hours and a bit for me. The colour will take another couple of hours whenever it is done.
There is a spelling error in it, but it is an easy fix (the last Latin word should be “CATH” not “CATI”) and it will be done when the colour is added.
For the most part it didn’t hurt allmycke. Towards the end the sensation was getting pretty intense, and I found that much of it tickled rather than hurt. There were times that I couldn’t decide whether it was hurting or tickling, and the area at the point of my shoulder, where the crown is, DEFINITELY hurt. Apparently some people feel the tickling sensation in place of the pain.
I am getting another Morena, one of the elements that I wanted in here was left out, a stamp. And I’ll be getting a separate tattoo for it another time. I heartily recommend Chris from Kapala Tattoo in Winnipeg for anyone that is there and thinking about a tattoo. In addition to being very talented he’s a super guy, compulsive about hygiene, and thoughtful about what will and what will not work.
