Yesterday was an incredibly beautiful day, even though it was punctuated with a cold, cold wind (that seemed to be confined to Arctic Bay). We decided to take advantage of the growing light and go for a drive, although by the time we got our act together the sun had already set. It mattered little as we blessed with skies whose incredible beauty shifted and danced with each passing minute. There is much to be said of a(n almost) full moon hanging in a mauve sky, above snowy mountains painted golden by the setting sun.

We didn't go far, just over to the new Airport and then out to Victor Bay, but I burned through an incredible amount of photos (twenty five alone of Ravens playing in the sky). No matter how many photos I took, and how much I bracketed exposures I still could not do justice to the skies. But I tried.

What follows are several photos from yesterday, in no particular order. There are a few of them so you might want to grab a coffee.  Just make sure that it is Bird and producer friendly.  No, get your hand away from that McLarge brand stuff. Why is that still in your cupboard?
