If you're tired of all of this northern hemisphere blogging, why not visit Birding in the Falkland Islands, a blog filled with great photos of fantastic southern bird species, and the occasional Southern Right and Sei Whales. Well worth the trip. I know John will recognize those birds.
Sigh, time for another trip to the really deep South.

Yeah Clare, I check this one out a lot too and I not sure why I haven’t put it on my sidebar yet.
It usually gets the “sigh” from me too. Pretty much the same feeling when I look at photos and read about the far north!

Great photos aren’t they John? I was just thinking that it’s been over 10 years now since I was in Antarctica. Hard to believe.
Thanks for the compliment. The woodcut doesn’t work well for everything but it does work very well for some. This header is a little different as I didn’t blur the background… it just didn’t look right that way.
