I don’t seem to have very many words inside me lately, I guess I’m leaving too many of them behind writing and rewriting what seems to be the same scenes in the screenplay over and over, and then putting it back the way it was. So… here are some photos instead. Random scenics from the past week or so.
The sun at play – Victor Bay
A tent tucked into a pocket of rock.
Uluksan Point, looking out towards Nuvuaq
The St. George Society Cliffs from the Glaucous Gull Colony. How I wanted to to take off and check on the Gyrfalcon Nest (That dark verticle cleft in the cliff, near where the nest is, is about 4.5 kms from where I was standing).
Snowmobiles and komatiks awaiting the next trip out on the land.
Shoreline of Victor Bay at high tide.
Not a bad view from your camp.
Last nights fog, pouring over the hills into town.
I intend to do a separate post of wildflower photos but wanted to include this. The white ones are actually seed heads of Arctic Dryads, for some reason still left over from last fall.

Fruits on the mountain dryad may be matted in place from being caught by an early snowfall last year or they may be in a spot that is well protected from wind. Usually the fruit stalks will dry and be broken by winter storms so perhaps these are in a protected spot or the snow melted from them only recently?????
Do you know the pink flowers behind the mountain dryad?
Great photos, again. I enjoy seeing the pictures of your landscape.
Hi larry,
The Dryads were in a somewhat sheltered spot, but it doesn’t really seem any more so than some spots. Could be a number of things, but whatever it was it made for a nice photo. The purple flowers are Purple Saxifrage, some of them look pinkish because of the backlighting.
