What a nice close up! I don’t know why but I love the way fullmouthed birds look. Especially it is funny to watch how the bird pics up more and more stuff for its nest untill the things in it’s beag are larger then it’s head 🙂
Liza Lee, by counting legs there has to be at least four crane flies there.
Melissa. It is fairly easy to get near the fledglings when they are by the house. I just move slowly and if they look agitated I stop until they settle down. After those shots that young bird hopped down and walked around my feet but I was took close to get the camera to focus.
Aluajala, the way these birds scream for more I’m sure the male wishes he had a bigger beak.
