I've got a Joel Plaskett ear worm running unstoppable through my brain this afternoon. But here is the reason that I love this town. Well there are other reasons but this amazing woman, holding her cousin's newborn is the main one.
And just by way of a bonus, here is the other woman in my life holding the baby.

Very nice Clare, I needed a feel good post and you provided it!
I have been thinking of you and your recent serious post. I hope you and Arctic Bay are coping. Wish I had a magic answer for you.
Thanks John, hope things are all right with you.
Your girls are beautiful. All is better in the world when there are newborns around. Enjoy!
Wow! Can’t believe how big Hillary is getting. I remember when she was only a couple weeks old. Time sure flies!
The only word I can think of is “Beautiful”!
You don’t get any cuter than that!
Beautiful! Thanks for giving me such a warm and loving start to the day.
Great post. Having children shows we have hope for this screwed up world.
I saw Plaskett live on Saturday.
I am now wearing my brand new “Another Life Changed by Joel Plaskett” t-shirt.
Life is good.
Thanks Liza, although I’d be in trouble if I called Leah “my girl”
Time is flying by Darcy. I look at Hilary and am amazed how much she’s grown.
thanks Dave,
I couldn’t agree more Kara
You’re welcome Pam
It’s funny Pete but having children filled me more with fear about the world. I imagine that Hope is a part of that fear, wondering what the world will be like for them.
Hi Kent, Where did you see him perform?
SUmmerset Music Festival in PEI, in front of a couple hundred peopel (he was one of the openers for the Ananis show).
Maybe the sixth or seventh time I’ve seen Plaskett, and after a summer on the road, his show is tight.
He played drums on Fashionable People, played Tears Roll Down the Face of the Earth and Snowed in, and closed with Hello Teacher.
Over the top rock god performance, that man is an entire ham sandwich, not just a ham.
You have a wonderful family
Sounds great Kent.
Thank you Nick. I think so too.
