One of my all time favourite songs, me and about a million or so other people, is No Woman, No Cry by the musical genius that was Bob Marley. It is a song that makes me pause when I hear it, listening to it rather than it being just background noise. It has made me smile, made me cry and was partially responsible for ending the worse fight I ever had in a relationship.
Vincent Ford, the man who wrote it (or not. Some believe that Marley wrote it but gave his friend Ford the credit so he could collect the royalties), died today in Jamaica. He may have gone but his song will endure, so dry your tears, I say.
Everything's going to be alright.
