Well, that's not entirely true. But it is true in the Best Blog category. Most of you, I imagine, have been following the polling, so you are already aware of the results. So leaving the Best Blog for a moment lets move on to the others.
In Best New Blog the winner is Cindy, Matt & Our Furry Friends. Cindy and Matt blog out of Rankin and their blog includes lots of great photos. If you don't already stop there on a regular basis you should. For their victory they get a knitted hat from Arctic Bay, a $25 Northern Link card (generously donated by Rob and Tina of Just Below 63), a badge to post on their blog and of course bragging rights for a year.
Congratulations to all of the other New Blogs in the running: The Blog Bog of the Tundra; Qanuippit; Arctic Dispatches; and Working Memory. It takes a lot of effort to maintain a blog and keep it going. All of these blogs are worth your visits and you can encourage them to keep blogging by returning again and again.
Best Post was a hard fought affair, and the lead changed back and forth several times, the outcome was always in doubt. But in the end someone came out on top, and that someone is Townie Bastard with his humourous look at Levi Johnston suddenly finding himself in the spotlight in the middle of a presidential election. Be sure to check out Levi Johnston's 2008 so far… Townie takes home a knitted cap, a Nunavut Blogging coffee mug (courtesy of Jen of Nunavut) and the badge and bragging rights.
Once again I enjoyed all the posts that were up for your consideration and the blogs they are found on all deserve your attention. It is not always easy putting yourself out there to be voted on. I hope you are all rewarded with increased traffic and loyal readers.
Which brings us to Best Blog. A dramatic finish to a dramatic race. So in keeping with that I'll leave this for another post. Everyone likes drama right?
