It is incredible how beautiful the growing light of our sky is. Four o'clock and while the twilight is deepening, it still lights the southern sky. Hanging in that wonderous sky of light blue gradually darkening to indigo the growing crescent of the moon seems to be reaching out to Venus. Go outside, and turn your head to the heavens, you just don't know what wonders might be waiting for you there.

I was just standing at my stove making soup and noticed ‘my’ moon over the neighbour’s roof. Sure enough, tilt my head and there is Venus blinking hello. It made me think of you and ‘your’ moon. Looks much the same as your most recent pic (sans rooftops and powerlines), even the colour of the sky.

Thanks bearswife. That is one of the things I like about the night sky. Looking up and knowing that others are seeing much the same thing. Which might explain the slight disconcerting feeling looking up at the sky south of the Equator, it wasn’t familiar, and the people I cared most for were looking at different skies that night.
I’ve often thought about just that – we’re all looking at “the same” sky and moon…
BTW, on my way to some friends for dinner, I noticed that I see Venus at about 4 o’clock while you have her/him/it at 10 o’clock.
