Michael of Michael's Meanderings is a pretty interesting fellow. We've quickly become friends (although we've never met) over a short period time. We even think the same way, at least when it comes to the state of our political system. If you follow his blog, or Fawn's (Michael's wife) blog, you'll know that they've faced some pretty challenging times in the last little while. I think they need a break, a change of scenery.
Apparently so does Michael, as he has thrown his hat in to the Best Job in the World contest. When I first heard about the contest, to find someone to be the caretaker of an island off the coast of Australia, and whose job description includes, snorkling, feeding the fish, cleaning the pool, checking the mail, and blogging about it, I thought, I could do that and then reality set in. Just the logistics of keeping Leah sedated enough not to know she was somewhere hot for an entire year were daunting enough, never mind my other responsibilities. But Michael would be great at it, and deserves a shot at it.

Haha – great post, Clare! I like how the teaser video resurfaced. I love that thing almost as much as the application video. 😀 But don’t you ever want to win anything? 😉
If I thought for a moment I could convince Leah I’d be all over this. But let’s see, a million hours in an airplane, temperatures above 15C, the other side of the world from her family. Nope, ain’t happening.
