Alright, after careful consideration I've finally decided where to throw my considerable influence and vote for the wildcard candidate for The Best Job In The World. And at the risk of it being considered simply a home team player I'm going with a Canadian candidate.
I do have to say that one of my final choices was Cali, from the US (she currently sits in fifth place in the voting). She is perky, enthusiastic, and the host of an apparently popular tech podcast. Obviously a polished video entry. But here's the thing, with only a tiny bit of research I discovered that she believes climate change/global warming to be nothing more than a large hoax. Given the threat that the world's coral reefs are under from climate change it seems utterly ludicrous to me to give the job of promoting the Great Barrier Reef to someone with that stance. Although I seriously doubt that anyone from T.B.J.I.T.W. reads me, if they do – listen give your heads a shake and don't consider her.
But I digress. I've decided to vote for, and recommend that you vote for… Erik from Vancouver. I like his style, his sense of humour and he's a fan of Finding Nemo. What more could they possibly look for. Well, except for Michael. Here is Erik's blog.
So, go to Erik's video and vote. You'll need to enter your email address as that is how they are trying to eliminate voting fraud. You can apparently vote once a day per email address.
