One of David Ringer’s, of Search and Serendipity, on-line projects is the on line listing service Birdstack. David is a gifted writer and world traveller, and he’s passionate about birds. Through Birdstack, he’s created the on-going projects for birding on the Equinoxes and Solstices.
Here then are reports from around the world about just what people saw this past Equinox, the day our photo-periods were all equal, but our birding experiences were all unique, and our own.

Clare, your mishap while birding on the equinox sounded pretty harrowing! I’m so glad you’re OK. Yikes.
Alls well that ends well David. No lingering effects, and no desire to stop going out there. Enjoyed the Birds of the Equinox you put together.
Clare, I looked for you on Birdstack. I’ve had an account (kingfisha) for a year, but only yesterday did I start entering observations. eBird doesn’t yet have capabilities for the eastern hemisphere.

Hi Darrin,
Yeah, I don’t have an account with either Birdstack or eBird. I don’t do enough listing for it to be of interest to me. I found Birdstack’s Birds of the Equinox/Solstice through David’s blog and liked the idea so I’ve been taking part.
