I didn't even notice the iceberg when I was panning after the boat with the camera.

An interesting picture. I didn’t realize how big that berg was without anything close up to it to provide prospective.
No, it’s clearly an iceberg picture. 😉
Actually, you ended up with some pretty nice framing for the boat, and it puts the scale of both objects into context.
Look, Clare, is this your new passion, smuggling as many iceberg pictures onto your blog as you can without having to rename it “The ‘Berg and other Arctic musings”?
Cheers! Nice pic yet again… of the boat, right? Of the boat!
I couldn’t really imagine how really big the iceberg is.. I mean how small the boat is… compared to the iceberg )
It does add some perspective to the size Darcy, its a little deceiving though because there is not much berg left after the top and right edge of the picture, but the illusion is it keeps going.
Thanks John. I snapped off about four frames as the boat went by and this was the best of the bunch.
Of course of the boat Jochen. The iceberg in the frame was completely by accident. But I just couldn’t discard the photo because of that, could I?
As icebergs go Aluajala, it is on the smallish size. There were some absolutely huge ones around the corner in Admiralty Inlet this spring.
