The House has been featured in Canada Blog Friends, which describes itself as an index of Canada's Best Blogs. Its a nice feather in the cap, and I'd like to welcome those of you who are visiting from CBL.
Its especially nice that there are some additional people visiting right now, so I can whine for more votes in Quark's Blog Your Way to Antarctica contest. I'm currently in 50th place, but a long way back from the leaders. Although I've still got a long climb, I'm pretty stoked that I passed the guy who finished second on last season's Survivor.

Hi Treena, and welcome to the House.
Thanks alot Robb
That’s great to see Tara, thanks alot.
I voted for you too. Seems strange to me though… why would you want to leave one frozen expanse only to journey to another extreme landscape? Why not Tahiti? or Jamaica? or even Echo Beach, far away in time.
Thanks Roberrific. It might seem strange, but I choose to live in the Arctic because of its many attractions. It is a surprisingly rich area to live. A magical place. Likewise, Antarctica is a magical place, a world that fairly glows because of the quality of the light there, and the amount of ice. Tahiti and Jamaica are possibilities also, Tahiti captures my imagination more than the latter. I note that there is a woman from Tahiti who is trying to win the spot blogging on an Antarctica trip. As far as Echo Beach goes, there is too much of a chance I’d run into Martha and the Muffins there.
Someone who perseveres for so long in consistently good blogging and great photography gets my vote. I hope you win Clare!
Hey, welcome back to the blogosphere aufildutemps! And thanks.
