The House has been reviewed by the blog reviewers Ask and Ye Shall Receive. And they like me, they really really… well okay not "really really" but it was a favourable review from a group that can be pretty notoriously hard to please.
Stop by and read what they have to say, and bask in the glory of my two stars (out of four). But you know they also have four fingers of doom that they give out, so its really like six out of eight. Come to think of it they have a "meh" rating also, so really its seven of nine. Oh hell, they have other ratings as well. Two positive stars out of four it is then.
They did say they'd like to see more narrative to go with the photos, something I know I'm guilty of. But with non-winters as short as they are, photos are a quick way of adding content quickly so I can get out and enjoy my world, instead of just writing about it. But they're right. More writing is coming. All in good time people, all in good time.

You did well. Very, very well. They can be notoriously hard to please.
If I could make a suggestion, it would be to make the main column of your blog larger so we can get a better look at your photos. This could be done by getting rid of one of the sidebars. I know sidebars are hard to cull, though. Maybe some of that stuff could go behind a tab, or even drop-down menus.
Thanks Megan. It is actually something I’ve considered. It would make my prior formatting wonky though, as I sized the photos for this format. One thing that some people may not realize is that all of the photos can be clicked on to see at a higher resolution.
Blog reviewers give me the same feeling as literary critics did when I was at the U. They are a bit of self-proclaimed experts on all things bloggy (or literary, as the case may be) with nary a thought to what the author him/herself had in mind when blogging/writing. Besides that, I don’t want anyone to tell me as a reader what I should think about a blog/book…
I agree with Megan that you’re pictures would be even more wonderful if shown in a bigger foramt – but like you say: they are clickable…
I personally like the blog format the way it is. I am not the majority here, but I use zoomtext magnifier. So with the magnification that I use, your text fits neatly within that and I don’t have to move from side to side. Your pictures, are clickable (and for me they are big anyway). So I say ‘yay’ to your blog format!
Haha! Well, enjoy your summer photo sessions!
