Occassionaly around Canada Day friends ask me how the fireworks were up here. We never have any fireworks on Canada Day.
Now living up here I never have to think of the reason why, but I have to keep reminding myself that my reality is far different from most other’s. The reason we don’t have fireworks is that we have 24 hour light now. Fire off a bunch of pyrotechnics up here this time of year and I guarantee that they won’t generate much in the way of ooohs and aahhs. Except maybe the ones that whistle on the way down.
