The second sealift ship of the season arrived in Arctic Bay on Monday night, bringing with it our frozen food order. The Anna Desgagnais would have made a spectacular picture, had we taken the camera, when we came back late from a quick trip to Nanisivik.  Anchored in front of town with all of its lights ablaze and the towns lights in the background on a perfectly calm night, it was almost worth coming back with the camera.

I had wanted to share some pictures of the hustle and bustle of sealift time, so I did make sure I took the camera with me when Travis and I went down for our 80 pounds of butter, our juice and sundry fruits and veggies.

As you can see we get everything from soup to nuts by sealift, including a new water truck.  Maybe now I won’t run out of water every week. Nah.Sealift_20053small
