Fall?

The Fall Equinox has just passed us. I guess it is fall now, although it feels like early winter. What the coming of the equinox means to us in real terms is that we now have less sunlight than almost everyone else.  In North America the only communities with less sun than us would right now would be Resolute and Grise Fiord.

I’ve said before that I don’t mind the dark season, and I don’t. The season passes by quickly and we have more light than one thinks, even when we’ve completely lost the sun. Time passes by so quickly these days, it’s hard to believe that we are only about three weeks to freeze up. Time to get the snowmobiles ready.
