I’ve spent very little time at the house in the past couple of weeks, when I really should be spending more. Truth is I’ve been trying to get the paper monster under control, and catch up on all of the accounting which I’ve ignored for far too long. Far too long. I also was anxiously awaiting word from our financier on some re-financing and we’ve been approved a day earlier than expected. So that is great news actually.
When I have been there I’ve been pretty much working on the casings and shelf supports for the closets in the house. They will look pretty good actually. Here is a picture of one closet door cased out (by Gary I must add). They will be painted as it is not a stain grade casing but is fingerjointed pine.
One of the pictures I thought I’d share is the kitchen. The kitchen is mostly complete. It awaits the stove being hooked up by the electrician. Some minor detailing behind the stove once that is done. And the island installed once the stove is out of the way. Then its just hardware, window and trim. The picture below is a composite of two images so it looks a little out of whack. It isn’t. What you can’t see in the picture is the hand wash sink and pantry. Also this picture is a little dated so the kicks aren’t on under the cupboards, but you can get the general idea.
