Yesterday afternoon, Travis got a couple of pieces of paper from our printer, took a pencil crayon and went off on his own, quietly creating…
A picture of mom
…and a picture of dad.
He pointed out to his mom that dad’s legs are longer than hers. And I noticed that he got all three hairs on the top of my head and my moustache, but I’m not sure why only mom has ears. Maybe dad never listens?

That’s my nepphew! An eye for detail like his dad.
and unlike his aunt – apparently I can’t spell nephew correctly!
Totally charming! There’s a great talent there — and wisdom, too.
Travis is quite the little artist. I hope you will be displaying more of his work in the future. These are so cute, Clare. I love the innocence of these drawings.
Ha! Very sweet. Though you do look like you’ve been startled by a house hare or something.
Hoo boy! Those are keepers. Put the date on the back of them and then after they come down from the refrigerator, put them in a safe place so you can pull them out again in 20 years and have a good cry!
Excellent! Portraiture is some of favorite art.
That’s my boy! Cuteness personified, and talent to boot. And I like to think of the startled look as a “deer caught in the heat seeking camera” look Rurality.
I’m jealous. You have more hair then me.
I notice both portraits have the appropriate expressions for parents of a small child… ;^D
Apparently Mom has really outdone you with three ears! Clever laddy!
No she only has two ears, Trix. The small circle on top is her bangs. Straight from the artist.
