Okay there are two things you need to do today. Well not just today but for the next 15 or 16 days or so.
You see Air New Zealand is sponsoring a contest looking for the Coldest Canadian. Wait, don't go. I promise I'm not going to beg for votes for myself. I'm done with that for awhile. Besides this is much more altrusic than that. I'm begging for votes for other people.
First of all, you need to go to Townie Bastard's post on the contest. This contest has two (count them) ways to win. One way is the person who promotes the contest the most. So, go to Townie's post and click on the link he has there that'll take you to the contest. Click on it alot, every day. He's a great guy and a friend.
The other way to win is through votes on a submitted video. Another great guy and friend from the Yukon (and for god's sake don't let someone from south of 60 win this thing) is Michael of Michael's Meanderings. He has a video that needs your vote. Go to this link, watch his video, laugh, imagine just how cold he must be while making it, register and vote. You can vote once every 24 hours.
Do this for me and I will be ever so grateful. These are both deserving people. Oh and tell your friends to vote and click also. Spread the word on FB and Twitter. Together we can do this.
And just so you know I've got a more serious topic I'd like you all to take action on in the very near future, consider this a warm up.

Hello Arctic muser! I am coming to Arctic Bay tomorrow. It’s work related but I will have some time in the evenings. I’ve read your blog quite a bit since moving to Iqaluit. Do you ever get together with your readers for a coffee? Interested?
Hi Marc. Sure coffee sounds fine, although my evenings are pretty full these days as I’m in the midst of renos. Do you get a break during the day as the coffee is always on at my office. Its at the heritage centre. You can email me or give me a call. I’m in the book.
